The Dr Plumb Cortina collection is a range of traditionally styled briar tobacco pipes featuring smooth finishes, classic shapes and black fishtail mouthpieces.

The Dr Plumb marque dates to 1925 and originated in connection with the French operations of established pipe maker GBD. The brand was developed by GBD sales manager J.B. Rubinovich and named after his secretary, Leslie W. Plumb. Historically, production was associated with Saint-Claude, France, one of Europe's most important centres of briar pipe manufacture.

Cortina pipes follow the straightforward approach traditionally associated with Dr Plumb. Each uses a briar bowl with a smooth exterior finish that retains the visible character of the natural wood. Different shapes within the range provide a choice of bowl and stem profiles while retaining a recognisable traditional appearance.

The range uses black fishtail mouthpieces and a metal filter system. Current UK listings identify Cortina models as briar metal-filter fishtail pipes.
