The Dr Plumb Cortina Light is a traditional smooth briar pipe featuring a gently bent profile, light natural finish and black fishtail mouthpiece.

Dr Plumb was established in 1925 as an affordable pipe range associated with GBD. The marque was developed by GBD France sales manager J.B. Rubinovich and named after Leslie W. Plumb, with early production associated with the French pipe-making centre of Saint-Claude.

The Cortina uses a substantial Bent Billiard-style bowl with a modestly curved shank and stem. Its light brown smooth finish exposes the natural variation and grain of the briar, giving individual pipes their own appearance.

A black fishtail mouthpiece completes the traditional profile. The Cortina is fitted with a metal filter, consistent with the filtration system used on a number of established Dr Plumb briar models. Current UK listings identify the Cortina specifically as a briar metal-filter fishtail pipe.

The straightforward construction, substantial bowl and traditional styling make the Cortina Light well suited to regular pipe smoking and to smokers looking for an established briar pipe at an accessible level.
