Gurkha Pure Evil Robusto – Single Loose Cigar
The Gurkha Pure Evil Robusto is a handmade Nicaraguan cigar measuring 127mm (5 inches) with a 52 ring gauge. Part of Gurkha's bolder cigar portfolio, it combines Habano wrapper tobacco with Nicaraguan binder and filler.
The Pure Evil name originally appeared in Gurkha's catalogue before being discontinued. The revived blend, developed by Damian Tapanes of American Caribbean Cigars, brought the range back in a new formulation, offered in Robusto, Toro and XO sizes.
Gurkha describes the blend as spicy and medium-to-full-bodied, with earthy and nutty characteristics and a lingering finish. Pepper is a prominent feature, particularly on the retrohale.
The Robusto offers the blend in a compact, substantial format. Its 52 ring gauge provides a relatively broad diameter for its five-inch length.
Visually, the cigar features a medium-brown wrapper and a distinctive black band decorated with a skull motif, red detailing and silver lettering.
