Por Larrañaga Picadores No. 1 – Single Loose Cuban Cigar The Por Larrañaga Picadores No. 1 is a handmade Cuban cigar measuring 127mm in length with a 48 ring gauge. It uses the Hermosos No. 4 factory vitola and forms part of the brand's regular production range.
Por Larrañaga was established in Havana in 1834 and is recognised for its comparatively light-to-medium-bodied cigars and characteristic natural tobacco sweetness.
The Picadores No. 1 was introduced into the modern portfolio in 2014, reviving a historic name previously associated with the brand.
It is totally handmade with long filler, using Cuban wrapper, binder and filler tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del Río.
The flavour profile typically combines caramel, honey, toasted nuts and cedar, with creamy tobacco notes and gentle spice developing during the smoke. Its relatively approachable strength and balanced character are consistent with the established Por Larrañaga style.
At 127mm x 48, the Picadores provides a substantial smoking experience in a format slightly narrower than a conventional Robusto.
