Finally solutions are starting to emerge on the UK market. Basically soak the Mascotte Hydro stone in clean water for a few minutes. This allows the porous terracotta to absorb moisture then place in your tobacco pouch/container. The cold damp stone will keep the tobacco fresh without over soaking the tobacco.

The stone should keep even additive free tobacco's fresh for weeks or even months in a sealed container. In a pouch that is regularly opened we would recommend re-soaking the stone every couple of days.
