Felipe Gregorio specialises in growing ancestral Cuban seeds in selected Central and South American regions. Its Costa Rican Pelo de Oro is cultivated at approximately 3,000 feet, with the company placing particular emphasis on terroir, careful leaf sorting and controlled ageing.

The current Pelo de Oro blend combines a Costa Rican Pelo de Oro wrapper with a Costa Rican Vuelta Abajo 1941 binder and Peruvian Pelo de Oro filler. The finished cigar has a medium-to-full strength profile.

Felipe Gregorio describes the flavour profile through notes of almond, sea salt and butterscotch, bringing together nutty, savoury and sweeter characteristics.
