The Butz Choquin Calabash 2000 Briar Smoking pipe is a classic Calabash, exuding a Sherlock Holmes-esque charm. Its ample size is more than suitable for an evening by the fire, but it’s not too bulky for a leisurely stroll along the seafront. It’s best suited for those cozy nights in front of the hearth. The deep bowl offers a generous fill while shielding the char from the wind and flaring flames. The thick briar wall ensures even heat distribution, even with the fiercest burning Virginia tobacco, and the long, exaggerated curved stem provides ample time for the smoke to cool, resulting in a smoother and cooler smoke.

The lipped head of the bowl provides a secure grip, similar to a Nonic pint glass (the one the bar person hands you after a few too many to save cleaning the dustpan and brush).
