The Balmoral Puro Nicaragua Rothschild Masivo is a handmade Nicaraguan puro combining tobaccos grown across four of Nicaragua's principal tobacco regions.
Both its wrapper and binder are grown in Jalapa, a northern Nicaraguan region particularly associated with refined, naturally sweet tobacco. The long-filler blend combines leaves grown in Ometepe, Estelí and Condega, giving the cigar an entirely Nicaraguan composition while drawing on the different characteristics of several growing regions.
The Rothschild Masivo measures approximately 5" x 55 ring gauge, creating a short but substantial cigar. Its broad diameter accommodates the three-region filler blend and contributes to a generous volume of smoke. Typical smoking time is approximately 60–70 minutes.
Strength sits around medium to medium-full, with a balanced flavour profile characterised by espresso and roasted coffee, nuts, earth and natural tobacco sweetness. Woody notes and touches of black pepper develop through the smoke, with some reviews also identifying cocoa, bread and dark chocolate.
The distinctive blue, black and gold presentation was designed as a tribute to Nicaragua. Details incorporated into the bands and box artwork reference the country's volcanic soils, Pacific and Atlantic coasts, rising sun and the artisan market at Masaya.
Balmoral Puro Nicaragua Rothschild Masivo cigars are presented in wooden boxes of 20.
