The Drew Estate BLACKENED M81 Maduro to the Core Robusto is a full-strength premium Nicaraguan cigar developed in collaboration with James Hetfield of Metallica, BLACKENED American Whiskey Master Distiller Rob Dietrich and Drew Estate founder Jonathan Drew.

M81 uses Maduro tobacco throughout its blend. A Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper surrounds a Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf Maduro binder, with Nicaraguan Maduro and Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro forming the filler.

The combination produces a rich, concentrated profile characterised by espresso, dark chocolate, leather, earth, pepper and toasted notes, together with the natural richness and sweetness associated with Maduro tobacco.

Each Robusto measures 5" x 50 ring gauge and is handmade at Drew Estate's factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The compact Robusto dimensions provide a substantial expression of the powerful M81 blend while retaining familiar traditional proportions.

The M81 name references 1981, the year Metallica was formed, while Maduro to the Core reflects the extensive use of Maduro tobacco throughout the cigar.
