Captain Black Original Pipe Tobacco – 50g Tin

Captain Black Original is a classic American aromatic pipe tobacco, combining Black Cavendish, Burley and Golden Virginia tobaccos to produce a mild, sweetly flavoured mixture.

The Black Cavendish is steam-treated to develop its characteristic mellow sweetness, while Burley contributes body and the Golden Virginia adds natural tobacco flavour. The blend is finished with a light vanilla-style aromatic character.

Captain Black Original has a loose ribbon-style cut, making the tobacco straightforward to prepare and pack. Its mild strength and sweet aroma are characteristic of the American aromatic blending tradition.

The flavour profile centres on vanilla, gentle sweetness and subtle tobacco notes. The blend is particularly associated with its distinctive aromatic room note.

Originally introduced in the United States in the 1950s, Captain Black became one of the country's most recognisable pipe tobacco brands, with Original establishing the character for which the range is best known.

Supplied here in a 50g tin, Captain Black Original is a familiar choice within the traditional aromatic pipe tobacco category. For longer-term freshness after opening, transfer the tobacco to an airtight container.
